DPD wants to hear what you have to say. You can help shape Seattle's growth by participating in any part of the planning process, from design review to public events to comment periods on neighborhood-specific projects. The resources below provide a good base for getting involved.

The Design Commission meets on the first and third Thursdays of every month in City Hall in the Boards and Commissions Room (Floor L2) from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The project review meetings are open to the public.
City Design

Design Review

The program was was established to enable citizens to get involved very early in the design process to develop better projects and to reduce the number of appeals.

DPD Public Notice
Seattle’s Land Use Code has specific requirements for notifying the public of opportunities to comment on proposed land use activities. The type and extent of this notice generally depends on the type of project in question.
Our primary notice methods include land use signs we post on properties within Seattle and our twice-weekly Land Use Information Bulletin.
