Mayor seeks new member for Board of Park Commissioners

Mayor Greg Nickels is seeking a new member for the Board of Park Commissioners. The Board is a seven-member volunteer advisory board established by city ordinance.

ABOUT THE BOARD

The Seattle Board of Park Commissioners is a volunteer advisory board established by ordinance.  The Board consults with and makes recommendations to City Council, the Mayor, and the Superintendent regarding the Parks and Recreation Department's policies for the planning, development and use of the City's park and recreation facilities.

PUBLIC MEETINGS

The Board of Park Commissioners meets on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month.

The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Board will take place Thursday, January 8 at 7 p.m. in the Park Board Room in the Parks administration building in Denny Park at 100 Dexter Ave N.
