Software Upgrade Notice
SPU & SDOT have been upgraded to AutoCAD 2012 and AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012. New documentation, templates and support files are available below.
The resources listed below are for CAD users in Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) and Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT), as well as consultants who are working on projects for SPU or SDOT.
We put together these supporting files and the CAD Manual in an effort to provide as much assistance as possible to the users. Since there are many ways to configure AutoCAD, we also tried to make the files as generic as possible. Should you have any problems or questions using these files or our CAD Standards in general, please contact the SPU CAD Manager, Dean Huber at 233-7805 or Dean.Huber@Seattle.gov.
On May 1st, 2012 SPU and SDOT updated our CAD standards to reflect our recent upgrade to Autodesk 2012 software products (AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D and AutoCAD Map 3D). These CAD Standards have been formally approved by Peter Hahn, SDOT Director and Ray Hoffman, SPU director. All projects that started after May 1st, 2012 must use this new CAD and software standard. All projects that are currently in process, must convert to the new standards as soon as reasonably possible because we will no longer support projects that are not using the new 2012 CAD and software standards.
