Instructions for viewing and downloading
Seattle CAFR documents are provided in Adobe® Acrobat™ (.pdf)
format. There are two ways to view these documents: 1) requires you, the user, to download the Adobe Acrobat Reader, or 2) access Adobe's
PDF conversion tool. Here you will simply enter the URL to the
PDFdocument
(The PDF document will instantly be converted to an HTML document
viewable through your browser --no "plug-in" needed. The process is
quick and easy, and you'll be amazed at the results! This process
is NOT recommended for charts.
If you are having problems viewing the PDF files, here are some
troubleshooting tips to consider:
- Too many PDF files open at once
This can
happen in both Netscape and Internet Explorer. If you get this
message, close some of the opened PDF files. Although the PDF
files are compressed, they're still rather large.
- Out-of-memory notice
You may get this
message when trying to open an organizational chart. There are no
known solutions to this problem. If this persist, we'll remove the
organizational charts from the web.
- PDF files don’t open at all
If the PDF
files don't open at all even though the location indicates that
the files are open, try this: click the BACK button and then click
the FORWARD button, you should be able to get the file to load.
This is a known problem with Netscape only. You may want to
consider downloading Internet Explorer for free.
