Public Safety

Find Information on Crime and Public Safety. 

It is very important for citizens to call 911 when they are witnessing something suspicious.  This includes suspected prostitution or drug dealing, or suspicious people loitering around homes or street corners.  Even if a police officer is not dispatched, these calls help our neighborhood justify increased police presence and implement legal tools that help reduce crime.

Criminal/Suspicious Activity Log Sheets

Help the Police help you.  Be their eyes and ears.  Activity log sheets help document suspicious and criminal activity in the neighborhood when the police are not there to witness it themselves.  It helps neighbors and police understand the whole picture of what's going on.  It helps neighbors justify increased police presence and realllocation of additional resources to the criminal problems they are having.  Get your Activity Log here.  For more information on activity logs, or dealing with ongoing criminal activity, contact the South Precinct Community Police Team (see below).
