How to Contact Department of Planning and Development

Dear Friend,

It truly is an honor to represent you on the City Council. Public participation and civic engagement are a top priority for me, which is why my office has an open-door policy. I want to hear from you and I vow to work diligently on your behalf. My office is committed to bringing people together and finding the common ground on the issues that face Seattle and our region. I’ll work hard to reach out and listen to the various sides of each issue.

In 2012-13, I have the privilege of chairing the Parks and Neighborhoods Committee. I am excited about parks, the gems of our city, and I hope to expand the connections throughout Seattle with trails and paths and "green" infrastructure.

My office is thrilled at the addition of the Department of Neighborhoods to our portfolio, and we see a natural fit between Parks and Neighborhoods. We’re excited to work with both these Departments to continue and foster robust dialogue between and within our communities.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my website and to learn more about me, my staff, and the issues we are working on. Together, we can make our great city even better.
