Betsy Graef, Legislative Aide

Betsy Graef has a professional background in health care administration, public policy and planning. As a community activist, she served on the board of directors of The Friends of the Seattle Public Library from 1999-2007 where she led successful efforts to increase city funding of the library. She served on the board of directors of International Community Health Services (ICHS) for six years and chaired a strategic planning process which resulted in a new clinic in the Rainier Valley that brings more convenient medical services to many members of Asian and Pacific Islander communities. Betsy holds a M.A. in Health Administration from the University of Colorado.

Nate Van Duzer, Legislative Aide

Nate Van Duzer worked in non-profit advocacy in Washington, D. C. on peace, environmental stewardship, and economic justice issues. He has also worked resettling refugees in the Seattle area and helping to launch The U.S.-Muslim Engagement Project. Nate is a graduate of Georgetown University where he majored in history and minored in Arabic and Muslim-Christian relations.

Tobias Pulliam, Legislative Aide

Tobias Pulliam is a native of Memphis and studied journalism and public relations at the University of Tennessee. Being from the Volunteer State, Tobias has a diverse range of volunteer experience, including time spent as an English teacher in Vietnam, a facilitator with Youth Venture, a candidate researcher with the Municipal League of King County, and a copy editor for the United Nation's International Policy Centre for Inclusive Growth. After working in banking, Tobias used his accounting and customer relations skills within several departments in the City of Seattle for over five years before joining this office.
