Seattle's Comprehensive Plan, which spelled out how the City would manage its growth throughout all its neighborhoods, is 10 years old and is being updated in 2004. The City Council has adopted potential amendments for the plan, which will now go through a process by which they are analyzed, environmental and public review will be conducted, and each may be modified. The Council will make a final decision on each amendment in the fall of this year.
The Council is considering this legislation in its Urban Development & Planning Committee chaired by Councilmember Peter Steinbrueck.
