Budget Seattle Children’s Hospital’s proposed Major Institution Master Plan
On Aug. 11, 2009, the Seattle Hearing Examiner published and mailed a recommendation that the City Council deny the request by Seattle Children’s Hospital for Council approval of a new Major Institution Master Plan (MIMP). The review of a proposed MIMP is subject to the city’s quasi-judicial rules which means the Council will act as judges in its review, rather than legislators. The first meeting that will begin the review process is scheduled for Nov. 18, 2009.

    On March 31, 2008, passed another milestone in the Zero Waste Strategy when it approved new solid-waste contracts, which include expanded recycling and compost services.

    The City Council is currently consulting transportation experts on how best to address the deteriorating Alaskan Way Viaduct and the seawall along Seattle's Waterfront.

    The Office of Professional Accountability Review Board was formed to oversee the way the Office of Professional Accountability handles citizen complaints against Seattle police officers.

    The Nightlife Advisory Board was created by the Seattle City Council in Resolution 31003.

    The resolution states: "The Board's duties shall include advising the City Council regarding policy issues related to the City's promotion, development and sustainability of the nightlife industry in Seattle..."


    parkCultural Overlay District Advisory Committee (CODAC)
    CODAC was a volunteer advisory committee charged with devising creative ideas for long-term promotion and preservation of cultural, art, and entertainment activities and spaces in Seattle neighborhoods, and for making implementation recommendations to the Seattle City Council.
