Ann Corbitt, Brian Hawksford, and Maia Harris
Ann Corbitt
Ann Corbitt has been with Councilmember Rasmussen's office since 2005 after working for the Washington State Senate, United Way and a public-sector executive search firm. Ann was born and raised in Bellingham, WA and graduated from Western Washington University, but now fondly calls Seattle home. In her free time, she enjoys traveling the world and keeping up on the Seattle restaurant scene. Ann serves as lead policy staff and clerks the Councilmember's committee.
Brian Hawksford
Brian Hawksford comes to Rasmussen's staff after 11 years as a co-owner of Portfolio Strategy Consulting, Inc., an
investment strategy and product development firm whose clients were leading financial institutions and high-net-worth
investors. In addition, Hawksford has been on the staff of numerous political and issue campaigns including The Children's
Initiative and King County Voters to Retain Fair Employment. He also is a member of Seattle Men's Chorus and volunteers with
Gay City Health Project. Hawksford studied at Seattle Central Community College and Western Connecticut State University.
He is lead policy staff for issues outside Councilmember Rasmussen's committee area, manages community outreach and
coordinates communications for Councilmember Rasmussen.
Maia Harris
The newest member of Councilmember Rasmussen's staff, Maia Harris comes to the office after 2 years in a local architecture
firm. She brings Washington State Senate experience and a degree in Political Science from Seattle University. Maia spends
much of her free time volunteering in the community and has recently taken up running marathons for charity. Maia manages
constituent relations and Councilmember Rasmussen's busy schedule.
