Case Aide - Probation Services
Description:
- Work under the supervision of a probation counselor to provide professional services to the Court, Probation Services, and defendants
- Maintain records and files
- Correspond with other criminal justice agencies, treatment facilities, and service providers
- Perform other duties as requested by the probation counselor or management
Desirable Qualifications:
- A "can do" attitude and a desire to assist others
- Desire for a hands on volunteer activity
- Experience using computers, including programs such as Microsoft Office and Excel
- Good organizational skills
Case Management Assistant - Probation Services
Description:
- Work under the supervision of a probation counselor to provide professional services to the Court, Probation Services, and defendants
- Maintain face-to-face and/or telephone contact with defendants
- Monitor defendant's compliance with court ordered conditions
- Maintain records and files
- Prepare court reports
- Correspond with other criminal justice agencies, treatment facilities, and service providers
- Perform other duties as requested by the probation counselor or management
Desirable Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or enrolled in a university or college degree program
- A "can do" attitude and a desire to assist others
- Desire for a hands on volunteer activity
- Willingness to work under supervision while gradually assuming more responsibility
- Ability to communicate effectively with people of various socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds
- Experience using computers, including programs such as Microsoft Office and Excel
- Good organizational skills
- Interest in the criminal justice field
