Landlord/Tenant Information Now Available in Nine Languages

November 7, 2001

Translated versions of three information documents related to the rights and responsibilities of landlords and tenants in Seattle are now available in nine languages:  Cambodian, Chinese, Korean, Laotian, Russian, Somali, Spanish, Tagalog, and Vietnamese.

The three translated documents are bundled together, by language, and include:

  • Client Assistance Memo #604A - Seattle Laws Regarding Building Maintenance and Repair
  • Information for Tenants - a summary of Seattle and Washington State laws
  • Preserve Your Home - a handy checklist for reporting needed repairs to apartment managers

Printed copies of landlord/tenant information, both the translated versions and English versions, may be obtained from the DCLU Public Resource Center (location and hours).  Electronic versions may be downloaded by using the links at right.

For additional information on landlord/tenant rights and responsibilities, call our Property Owner and Tenant Assistance staff at (206) 684-7867.

If you wish to file a landlord/tenant-related complaint with DCLU, you may do so online or by calling our Compliance Service Center at (206) 684-7899.
