Community members and experts on parking will be part of a panel discussion of neighborhood commercial area parking requirements on April 11. The discussion is being presented as part of the City Council’s review of the Mayor’s Neighborhood Business District Strategy (NBDS), by Seattle City Councilmember Peter Steinbrueck, the Seattle Department of Transportation and DPD.
The event will be held:
Tuesday, April 11, 2006
5:30-7 p.m.
Bertha Knight Landes Room, 1st floor
City Hall, 600 Fourth Ave.
The NBDS proposes lower minimum parking requirements in commercial areas in order to improve the environment, support pedestrian-oriented business areas, lower construction costs, and ensure that parking that the City requires to be built will be used.
