Mayor announces $1.6 million investment in Seattle arts organizations
In 2012, the city will provide more than $1.6 million in investments to 137 Seattle-based arts, heritage and cultural organizations through the Seattle Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs' Civic Partners program.

Seattle City Light Wants to Hear From You!
Seattle City Light wants to know what you think about renewable energy and what we can do together to create more of it. We are currently recruiting customers to participate in a 5-minute survey once a month, for approximately 15 months.
Annual Billboard Relocation Request
Every year, between January 1 and March 1, DPD accepts applications from residents to request the relocation of a billboard located within Seattle.
Animal Shelter now accepting volunteer applications
The Seattle Animal Shelter's in-shelter volunteer program is now recruiting volunteers. All volunteers are asked to make a six-month commitment and be able to volunteer eight hours per month.
Prepare for Winter Weather
With winter here, residents are encouraged to prepare home emergency kits and family plans. The emergency information web site also has important phone numbers, safety news such as how to drive in darkened intersections, Metro transit links, flooding reports, who to contact if your lights go out and more. Please be safe and prepared this winter season.
