Fees for DPD services are updated periodically and published in a "Fee Subtitle," which is adopted by the Seattle City Council. Fee-related services include land use review, permits for new and altered buildings and equipment, certificates and registrations, inspections and other compliance activities, and fees collected for other city departments. At the beginning of most years, DPD adjusts the fees it charges for its services.

NEW! DPD now offers an Excel fee estimator to help you approximate your construction intake and issuance fees. DPD is offering this online fee estimate service to help reduce the number of trips applicants must make to our downtown office.

NOTE: The amounts provided through this tool may not be accurate if the values entered in the tool are incorrect. DPD will accept intake fees that fall reasonably close to the correct amount required. All fees must be paid in their entirety before a permit can be issued.

Pay Online! and "Skip the Trip" downtown. You calculated your approximate fees online, and you submitted your project. After those steps are complete, check our Online Services web page to pay your fees online as well!
