Biomimicry for a Sustainable Built Environment
Lecture & Workshop
Biomimicry is a new discipline that studies nature's best ideas and imitates them to solve human problems. Applications range widely, from architecture, product design, and engineering, to software development, communication systems and organizational evolution. The Biomimicry Guild is a team of design-savvy biologists who teach technical audiences an evolving methodology that incorporates natures design strategies into the design process. Attendees will examine ways to create innovative, life-enhancing products, architecture, and communities by emulating natural models. Hosted by AIA Seattle and the AIA Committee on the Environment.
