Some of the most common reasons for not building green are lack of information and resources. To help you access the knowledge you need, and the resources that will help you meet your bottom line, please find our new Incentive Fact Sheets for Commercial, Multi-family and Single-family projects. These guides are a quick at-a-glance preview of programs available to owners, developers, property managers and others pursuing projects ranging from small upgrades to large new projects.
There are many incentives for building green today. Some of these are code or tax-based, and others are cash paid for energy and water conservation. Last we checked, a web search for “green building” yielded over 12 million hits. That’s a lot of information, and while it's wonderful to have so much more available than just a few years ago, it can be overwhelming. Our Resources section can direct you to a lot of good data.
Follow the links below to the type of work you do to learn more about resources and incentive programs:
- Residential - homeowners & single family
- Multifamily - apartments, townhomes, condominiums
- Commercial - industrial, institutional & highrise residential
- City Projects - City of Seattle facilities
- Sustainable Communities - urban design and neighborhood planning
Consideration of green options is critical during early design programming and planning, so don’t delay.
