There is little that is human scale in this plaza; instead it is designed and detailed for large public gatherings such as this military parade. The large scale paving pattern works as a lively backdrop to any activities taking place on it, and the steps surrounding the space help to create an amphitheatre that is ideal for viewing events. In daily use, the plaza serves as a crossroads for people traveling to and from one of Stockholm's busiest metro stations. |
