Streetscape improvements such as special paving patterns on the sidewalk and street crosswalks help to delineate pedestrian walkways and contribute to the special character of this busy commercial corridor. The large decorative cast planters bring landscape elements onto the hardscape and serve as bollards, protecting pedestrians from vehicles along the street edge.
