The King Street Station Platform and Canopies were developed to be downtown Seattle's transit stop for Sound Transit Sounder service which began in 2000. The steel and glass entrance structure rises above the street grid from the train yard below. The simple geometry of the commuter rail entrance is distinctive and legible in the complex urban landscape. |
