North Shore Parking Garage |

This parking garage was built by the same entity that constructed Pittsburgh's new baseball stadium, PNC Park, which is one block away. The façade uses the same brick as is used in the ballpark. The elevation is articulated by the use of large end bays that house the stair and elevators. The ground level contains retail spaces with storefronts that open onto a widened sidewalk for seasonal use. The orientation of the openings on the façade are vertical, to disguise the otherwise severe horizontal nature of a large parking facility. |
