Request for Proposals (RFP)
Rainier Valley Commercial Study
The City of Seattle's Office of Economic Development is soliciting proposals for the completion of a commercial study of the Rainier Valley, which would include data collection and analysis, formulation and recommendations on appropriate retail mix, niche and cluster strategies and identification of implementation strategies. The resulting study and recommendations will help to support retention and expansion of existing businesses, attract new businesses and address the retail mix of the neighborhood, with a particular focus on the Martin Luther King Way S Commercial Corridor. Responses are due 5:00 p.m. October 3, 2008.

Public Hearing Notice
The Seattle City Council's Housing and Economic Development Committee will hold a public hearing on two proposals from the Mayor: 1) proposal to provide a Section 108 loan and a Brownfields Economic Development Initiative grant (BEDI Grant) to Lake Dell, Inc., doing business as Alpha Cine Labs and 2) proposal to provide a Section 108 loan and a BEDI Grant to SouthEast Effective Development for redevelopment of 3333 Rainier Avenue South.
The public hearing will be held Wednesday, September 17, 2008 in Council Chambers, 600 4th Avenue, 2nd Floor.
