Technical Assistance and Training

The Neighborhood Business District program supports workshops and training to enhance the organizational capacity or neighborhood business district organizations.

Please check back for information on upcoming workshops.

The Nonprofit Assistance Center offers no charge telephone consultation for nonprofits on financial issues, board issues, fundraising, or IRS issues, access to a technical assistance fund, intensive technical assistance program and specialized training workshops.

United Way provides training opportunities and discussion forums to staff and board members around key nonprofit management and governance issues. 206.461.4539

NPower offers a broad spectrum of technology assistance to Puget Sound non-profits, including technology planning, training, networking, database expertise, and Web site development

Impact Capital offers housing and community development practitioners with workshops topics including Board Roles & Responsibilities, Financial Management for Non-Profits, Supporting & Evaluating the Executive Director and The Nuts & Bolts of Developing an Effective Fundraising Plan.

Minority Executive Directors Coalition of King County offer training to help understand the values, principles and customs of different cultures and enable organizations to better meet the diverse needs of all communities in King County.

Community Capital Development is a place where a person thinking about opening a small business, or already operating a small business, can come to create a business plan, research potential markets and marketing ideas, discuss management issues with experienced counselors and business assistance providers, and apply for a small business loan. 206-324-4330
