Achieving a future with economic opportunity, community,
social equity and environmental stewardship requires that residents,
government and businesses work together. To promote actions which conserve
resources, reduce waste and protect the environment, the City must leverage programs and services
creating partnerships with the community . The Strong Environmental Practices component of the Mayor's Environmental Action Agenda
captures the way the City works with the community to: reduce water and
energy use and waste generation, increase the adoption of sustainable
practices, and improve the quality of the environment.
"We must work together to create
partnerships with the community to promote actions which conserve resources,
reduce waste and protect the environment". Mayor
