In order to receive a final hire offer from the Seattle Fire Department, candidates must possess Washington State EMT Certification or documentation stating the candidate has completed EMT coursework and is eligible to be certified in Washington State. Washington State Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certification is not required in order to submit an application for Entry Level Firefighter. Out of State EMT Certification Candidates who hold out-of-state or national registry EMT certification must secure a reciprocal EMT Certification through King County. This class is usually offered once per year. The class is filled by eligible list rank order and need. | ||||||||||||||||||
