Frequently Asked Questions Q: Will the Seattle Fire Department offer an EMT class this year? A: The Seattle Fire Department will not be sponsoring an EMT class this year. We are therefore encouraging candidates to seek EMT training on their own. A: Candidates who participated in Oral Board #2 may submit their DD214 via email to Colleen.Lafferty@seattle.gov or via fax to (206) 733-9150. (Be sure it is a long-form which shows the nature of your discharge) Q: How many positions are typically filled? A: Approximately 24 positions are typically filled by the Fire Department off of one register. This will vary according to the Fire Department’s needs, which are continuously assessed throughout the year. Q: Who do I contact if I have a question?
