The Senior Cadet program was created in 2000 by the Advisors of Fire Cadet Company 511. The purpose of the program is to provide pre-employment fire service training opportunities for citizens of the City of Seattle. Who Can Join? Any person who is at least 19 years old, has a high school diploma or has passed an equivalency test (G.E.D.), and has a valid Washington State driver’s license. |

Meetings ![]() Senior Cadets meet on Saturdays from 8:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at the Joint Training Facility, 9401 Myers Way South, Seattle. How Much Does it Cost to be a Member? Each Senior Cadet pays $10.00 per month dues. There are additional fees for special trips and events. What Uniform and Equipment Requirements Must I Purchase? Each member must provide himself or herself with a pair of black leather 5" high safety shoes that must be able to be polished (not suede). Also each member will have to purchase a uniform which consists of a shirt with patches and a name tag, trousers, a 1 1/2" black belt and a uniform T-shirt. The program provides a helmet, bunking coat, bunking pants, bunking boots and leather gloves.
