Permit Unit Staff

The Permit Unit is staffed with five Permit Specialists and one full-time Supervisor who strive to assist in making the permit process as efficient and uncomplicated as possible.

Peggy Holt   206-233-7106
Administrative Specialist III:
  Peggy is responsible for issuing all new hazmat permits after they have been inspected and approved.  Peggy also issues temporary Marine Hot Work permits and handles the invoicing of those permits.  She is also responsible for collecting delinquent permit fees before they are forwarded to City Finance for collection.

Administrative Specialist III:
 Theresa is responsible for the intake and processing of payments for new applications and renewals received in the mail. She is also responsible for issuance of all Special Events Permits.  Theresa is also responsible for generating Renewal Invoices, 30-Day Past Due notices and Cancellation notices each month.  Call Theresa for any questions regarding these notices.

Zeun Yeung    206-233-1501
Administrative Specialist II:
  Zeun is responsible for issuing new non-hazardous materials permits after they have been inspected and approved.  She also generates renewals of no-fee permits.  Zeun manages the Residential Underground Storage Tank Decommissioning Program, issuing those permits.  She also monitors the account balances for all Advance Deposit Account customers, sending the monthly statements.  Zeun also processes all approved requests for refunds.

Administrative Specialist II:
  Art is responsible for distributing all new applications to the appropriate section of the Fire Department after permit fee payments have been processed.  Art also handles our follow-up process on all canceled permits.  In addition, Art is responsible for generating renewals of hazmat permits after renewal fees have been paid.  He also manages the Pre-Approved Marine Hot Work Program for those customers who qualify for that program.

Administrative Specialist II:

Sarita is responsible for assisting afternoon walk-in customers at our permit counter with their applications and payments for various permits. Additionally, Sarita is responsible for maintaining the accuracy of our permit files, as well as filing both active and canceled hazmat permits and canceled applications.  She is also responsible for filing both active and canceled hazmat permits and applications. In addition, she maintains the accuracy of our permit files.  Sarita is also responsible for updating and maintaining two industry lists on the web page; Marine Refueling Facilities and Designated Marine Hot Work Facilities.
