Welcome to the Seattle Firefighters Pension Board Website

The State Legislature established the Seattle Firefighter's Pension Board in February, 1909. The first meeting was held in the Mayor's office on August 11, 1909.

The Pension Fund provides payment of service pensions, disability pensions, medical and death benefits to active and retired firefighters.

Presently, benefits are provided for approximately 1,450 members. It is the Pension Board's mission to provide responsive benefit services to active and retired firefighters.

REMINDER: If you have not sent in your Other Insurance Form, please send it as soon as possible.

If you are having problems with your bills, call the 1-800 # on the back of your Blue Cross Card for billing information. You can also e-mail or call the Pension Office for billing status.
