Madison Park - Station 34

About the Station

Station 34 houses one engine company (E34) and hose wagon.

As one of the newer stations in the system, Station 34 is in generally fair condition, but requires some minor seismic retrofits to meet current earthquake safety standards.

About the Project

As a seismic and safety upgrade station, Station 34 requires additional seismic bracing to meet current earthquake safety codes.

The plan also constructs a small building addition and minor interior remodels that would create space for the apparatus bay support functions - including decontamination, crew preparation, and vehicle maintenance -- expected to be added to all stations in the system. The addition will also accommodate a physical training area.

Station 34 will continue to house two apparatus.

Emergency services are expected to remain on site while the station is being upgraded.
