Seward Park Ivy-O.U.T. - an EarthCorps volunteer work project
Saturday, 9am - noon

English Ivy is invading Seward Park and we need your help! Volunteer to remove English Ivy and leave a lasting legacy in this Olmsted-designed park. Regular work parties meet every third Saturday of the month from 9am - noon. We can also schedule work parties for interested groups.
Meet at the Nature Center near the park entrance at 9am.

Interlaken Park - Volunteer Work Party
Saturday, 8am - noon
Meet at 19th Avenue East and East Galer Street's Metro bus stop building.
This is a rain or shine event, if it snows, don't show! Dress in warm rain gear and good work boots. Bring gloves. Tools are provided, refreshments and snacks are available!

15 Seattle Parks Foundation Monthly walk: Hiawatha Playfield.
Saturday, 10am - noon.

Hiawatha Playfield sits at the heart of the West Seattle neighborhood. It is a beautiful example of a small Olmsted-designed city park. The tour will begin in the Hiawatha Community Center with a special presentation by the Friends of Seattle's Olmsted Parks on Hiawatha's unique history. The tour will be led by Dennis Ross of the Admiral Community Council, along with representatives from the Seattle Parks Foundation, Friends of Seattle's Olmsted Parks and Seattle Parks and Recreation.

Northwest Flower and Garden Show - Convention Center
February 19-23, 9:00AM - 7:00PM
This year's Flower and Garden Show will feature an Olmsted-themed display garden on the Sky Bridge, at the entrance to the show. This garden, designed by local garden designer and columnist, Phil Wood, is the largest in the show and is presented in partnership with the Arboretum Foundation. Seattle Parks and Recreation is also presenting a separate Olmsted information exhibit booth.

A number of Centennial partners will have display booths or gardens at the Garden Show, including the Seattle Parks Foundation and the Seattle Post-Intelligencer.
