Helping
Link/Một Dấu Nối has recruited volunteers from the community
to tutor Vietnamese youth with school homework.
Tutors are available for students for two hours every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
throughout the school year. At the present time, approximately fifteen students
ranging from ages 6-18 participate in the tutoring program.
During the summer, volunteer tutors will be available for students who attend
summer school. Helping Link will also run an eight week WASL class on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoon's from 1:30pm - 5:30pm.

Biography
I am currently a student at the University of Washington’s Information School studying to become a librarian, but I am originally from Portland, Oregon.
The reason I am volunteering is because I love teaching others how to do things.
Course taught
“The Source” classes.
Expectations of the course
Learn the basics of computers and how that can be applied to using “The Source” in order to help parents learn more about their child’s academic status.
Experience
I currently volunteer at the art museum, and an arts college in town, answering reference questions.
I have always loved to give back and share my knowledge with others. I also teach college students how to use the library at my job. |
