At least once per year, OH publishes a Notice of Funds Available (NOFA) for the Rental Housing Program. The NOFA describes specific funding priorities and requirements for each available fund source, of which the Housing Levy is the largest. OH’s funding announcements are often part of a larger combined announcement of funds for homeless housing and services across King County. Also on this page is the Homebuyer NOFA.

Published March 27, 2012:

Acquisition & Opportunity (A&O) and Bridge Loan NOFA
NEW 2012
This notice announces up to $11.5 million in capital funds for short-term financing to support the development of affordable multifamily rental and/or homeownership housing. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis through 2013. The amount of funds available at any one point in time may vary.

Published Feb. 2, 2012:

Homebuyer NOFA
The purpose of this program is to assist families and individuals earning at or below 80 percent of area median income to become homeowners. Nonprofit agencies, private, for-profit developers, and mortgage lenders are invited to submit proposals for projects that will provide homeownership opportunities for low-income households.

NOTE: OH is no longer accepting applications for this NOFA.

Intent to Apply - Posted Jan. 12, 2012

Project sponsors, developers and owners planning to apply to the Office of Housing for funding within the next three years (2012, 2013 and 2014) are asked to complete the Intent to Apply form – one for each proposed project.

Submitting this form will not be regarded as a request for funding and is not a guarantee that your project will receive an OH award. Also, failure to submit the Intent to Apply form will not preclude you from submitting an application for funding at a later date.

This request for information is intended to generate as complete a list of projects as possible for OH planning and budget purposes. The greater the response, the more complete our planning will be.

Please e-mail your completed forms to seattle.housing@seattle.gov by Friday, Jan. 27.

If you have any questions, please contact OH Lending Manager Laurie Olson at (206) 615-0995.
