Domestic Violence Prevention Council

Criminal Justice Committee

The Domestic Violence Prevention Council’s Criminal Justice Committee works to strengthen how the City of Seattle’s criminal justice system responds to domestic violence.

The committee:

• Implements the Strategic Plan on Seattle’s Criminal Justice Response to Domestic Violence
• Implements and monitors activities funded through federal grants
• Facilitates coordination of efforts across City departments
• Undertakes other system improvement initiatives, as identified by the Domestic Violence Prevention Council

The committee includes representatives from:

• Seattle City Attorney's Office
• Seattle Human Services Department
• Seattle Municipal Court
• Seattle Police Department
• Community nonprofit agencies
