Outreach and Access to Health Care

Disparities in health outcomes exist for low-income and minority communities within Seattle. Two distinct and important programs receive City support for outreach and access services:

  • The Infant Mortality Prevention Network helps low-income and high-risk pregnant women to improve pregnancy and infant health outcomes, especially in minority communities among which infant mortality rates are the highest.

  • PeoplePoint: Bridge to Benefits, formerly called Help for Working Families, links low- to moderate-income residents who are in need of public assistance to available services.
