Current Funding Opportunities / Request for Investment
The Seattle Human Services Department implements its investments in human services through processes called Request for Investment (RFI) and Request for Qualifications (RFQ).
An RFI/RFQ is an open and competitive funding allocation process. With an RFI, the City defines the investment results within a Strategic Investment Plan Program Area. Interested agencies may respond to a RFI/RFQ by submitting a proposal requesting an investment by the City of Seattle for a specific project, program, or service. RFIs and RFQs are reviewed as part of a process that identifies the proposals most likely to deliver results. Please call the RFI/RFQ Coordinator listed in the announcement document if you have any questions about the process.

Seattle Early Learning Network Step Ahead Pre-Kindergarten Request for Qualifications (RFQ)
The Human Services Department (HSD) is offering eligible applicants an opportunity to submit their qualifications to provide pre-kindergarten (Pre-K) programs to low-income four-year-olds in southeast and southwest Seattle. The anticipated funding level for the 2008-2009 program year is $251,640 of Families and Education Levy funding, to serve an additional 40 four year olds in Pre-K. The Request for Qualifications (RFQ) defines key elements of the Pre-K program requirements and the process for proposal submission and selection.
Proposals are due to the Human Services Department by 5 p.m. on May 15, 2008. Please review the RFQ document for the submission process and requirements. Proposals may be submitted electronically via the link below.
