Shrinking Bigfoot

Shrinking BigfootShrinking Bigfoot kicked off in November 2008 with free climate-change assemblies, student workshops and teacher trainings for all elementary schools with 75 or more students in 3rd-5th grades within Seattle City Light's service area. As of May 2009 the utility had produced 56 fun-filled, participatory Shrinking Bigfoot assemblies that reached 8,527 students and 346 teachers; 136 student workshops reaching 3,478 students and 136 teachers; and three teacher trainings reaching 56 teachers. Feedback from teachers is overwhelmingly enthusiastic about all Shrinking Bigfoot programs. As one teacher said after the assembly, "This was the best and most informative play I have seen in 15 years, all kids were engaged."
