Green Power Program

Help Support Solar in Seattle

The Green Power Program funds local renewable energy demonstration projects in Seattle and the suburban areas that City Light serves. It also funds renewable energy education and training programs for teachers, students, and the general public.

These projects create awareness of renewable energy within our community, and help grow the local market for solar and other green technologies.
  • Since 2002, the program has completed 28 solar projects at schools, parks, libraries, the Seattle Aquarium, and other public places.

  • View a map of all of City Light’s renewable energy demonstration projects since 2000.

  • Join the thousands of City Light customers who support the Green Power Program. You can support solar in Seattle for as little as $3 per month.

  • Educators interested in learning more about classroom resources available, please email City Light’s education partner, the Bonneville Environmental Foundation (BEF) at: dlettero@b-e-f.org
