Mayor Nickels Invites You to Celebrate Earth Day

Dear Friends,

Please join me and hundreds of volunteers this Saturday, April 21, to celebrate Earth Day.

Earth Day is an opportunity to volunteer and give back to your community, more importantly give back to your planet. It spreads environmental awareness around the world and also helps to promote environmental citizenship action.

This is an opportunity to stand for positive change and present a united front for climate protection with our counterparts throughout the nation. Please join me in support of this important day.

Earth Day Events

Here are some of events I will be joining this Saturday.

• SCA Earth Day Project, Washington Park Arboretum, Graham Visitor Center, On the Patio - 9a.m-3p.m.
• Colman Park Earth Day, 1800 Lake Washington Blvd. S. - 10a.m.-2p.m.
• Rainier Beach Spring Clean-Up, Rainier Beach Henderson Plaza - 9a.m.-1p.m.
• Duwamish Alive!, West Duwamish Greenbelt - 10a.m.-2:00p.m.
