Office for Education City/School Partnerships
The Office for Education creates partnerships between the city and the schools to help students succeed and thrive in school.
School Use and Construction
To succeed academically, students must have quality learning environments. The Office for Education coordinates city and neighborhood involvement in the use and construction of school facilities to ensure that the facilities benefit everyone in the community. The Office staffs and convenes Citizens Advisory Committees on school departures and the reuse of school facilities. The Office also assumes a leadership role in coordinating the city's planning and regulatory involvement in Seattle Public Schools' capital projects through its Building Excellence Team.
