Other
food for thought about the Status Reports can be found at the Sustainable
Seattle website for its B-Sustainable project. This is a cooperative
project to identify measurable indicators of success in reaching some
of the social and environmental goals our neighborhood plan policies
try to address.

Planning in Seattle: A Community Forum Report |
This 2008 report includes a summary of information
gathered during a community forum about neighborhood planning
hosted at the Evans School, and provides a series of recommendations
for the City to consider in moving forward with updating the City’s
38 neighborhood plans. |

Seattle Comprehensive Plan |
The Comprehensive (Comp) Plan, Toward
a Sustainable Seattle, is a 20-year policy plan designed
to articulate a vision of how Seattle will grow in ways that sustain

Plan Stewardship Survey |
With encouragement from the Department of Neighborhoods,
the Planning Commission initiated a survey of neighborhood plan
stewardship groups early in 2001 to learn how groups are doing—both
in terms of accomplishing their programmatic goals and in creating

In this article, the author argues that Seattle
developed an especially ambitious and successful policy design
for collaborative planning, although it has had its stresses and
imperfections, especially as plans continue to be implemented
and revised. |

This update by the League of Women voters assesses

The 2004 NPI Priority Report is grouped into
six geographical sectors which are broken down alphabetically
by Neighborhood Planning Area. The report shows the Neighborhood
Planning Area Matrix number, the Activity description, the Sub-Activity
explaining the specific project, and the Summary statement detailing
what the City is currently doing with regards to this project. |
