WASHINGTON ADAPTIVE SPORTS JAMBOREE 2006(Formerly the Washington Wheelchair Sports Jamboree)Nick Bicknell: (206) 615-0617 nick.bicknell@seattle.gov Seattle Parks and Recreation's Specialized Programs Section and the Kiwanis Club of Meridian Kent, WA. team up with other organizations to sponsor this special event. The Jamboree is geared toward youth and adults who can follow a sequence of instructions. The Jamboree is an introduction/opportunity to learn more about Adaptive Sports/Equipment. It's for individuals, parents, therapists, teachers, recreation professionals, and interested others to learn about competitions involving adaptive sports, and much more. Information on Regional, National, and International Competitions will be available for individuals interested in Sanctioned Competitive Sports or just recreation. It will also offer information on how a participant could train on their own in the community or school and work toward a sports scholarship to a college or university.
