Thank you Seattle. Construction is complete!
The work at this baseball field by WS Contractors included replacement of the outfield drainage and irrigation systems, new soil and turf, warning track, and new infield.

Temporary fencing will remain up around the field until late spring or early summer 2011 for turf establishment.

Parks held a public meeting on Tues., April 6, 2010 to gather community input on priorities for the project. Please see agenda and notes below.

Scope of Work
The following work is included in the renovation of Field #1: regrading the outfield surface, resurfacing the infield, replacing the irrigation and drainage system, installing new seeded grass, new warning track, and repair of some existing perimeter fencing.

Background
Pro Parks funds were insufficient in 2004 for proper renovation of all three ballfields at Meadowbrook. Parks Steering Committee directed the Project team to focus on completing the improvements for Ballfields #2 & #3. 2010 Pro Parks funds are sufficient now to proceed with the renovation of ballfield #1.

The Meadowbrook Playfield Renovation Project is complete!
Parks held a community celebration on October 30, 2004 for the opening of the renovated Fields #2, #3 and the Meadowbrook Play Area. Fields #2 and 3 remained closed until February 2005 to allow for establishment of the turf grass.

Previous Involvement for Field #2 & #3

Three public meetings were held for the Meadowbrook Playfield Project starting in September 2002 and extending into December 2002. The main objective of the public process was to work with the community on prioritizing design elements and to work towards collaborative funding approaches for various aspects of the Meadowbrook Playfield Projects.
