Citywide Skatepark Plan Draft Site CriteriaThe Skatepark Advisory Task Force (SATF) has identified and is recommending a range of types and sizes of skateboard facilities to be sited throughout the City. They also drafted siting criteria that corresponds to each type and size of skate facility. This system of skate facilities and the criteria that will be used to site the facilities will be discussed during the public meetings in June. » Proposed Skatepark System (PDF 1M) These criteria are DRAFTs and will evolve through dialogue at the public meetings. Once the final site criteria are developed the Skatepark Advisory Task Force will apply a weight to each criteria and then analyze possible sites by applying the criteria. Sites with higher scores will be given siting priority over those with lower scores. Please note that a set of assumptions was developed to provide a framework to the draft criteria. These assumptions are applicable to all types and sizes of skate facilities:
Please note that the criteria for each typology build upon the smaller typology criteria, except the Skatedot criteria, which is unique. For instance; the District criteria include all the Skatespot criteria and additional unique criterion and the Regional criteria includes all the District criteria plus a few unique criterion. DRAFT Criteria for each type of recommended facility:
If you are unable to attend one of the three public meetings please feel free to look over the criteria online and provide comments by June 30, 2006. We look forward to hearing from you! Updated
