Miller Community Center
Celebrates 10 Years

Saturday, April 19th from 11 a.m to 2 p.m.

The Miller Community Center at 330 19th Avenue E opened its doors 10 years ago and has provided the Capitol Hill community with teen and toddler programs, sports leagues, holiday parties and fun classes. On Saturday, April 19, the Center will host an anniversary celebration fair for its patrons and the general public from 11 a.m. to 2 pm.

Mayor Nickels will kick off the event by welcoming everyone and turning on the Center's Ron K. Bills fountain for the first time this spring. The speech will be followed by an array of activities representing what goes on in the community center every day. Activities include volleyball and basketball tournaments, face painting, craft tables, a jumping castle, food and dancing and karate demonstrations. Don't miss the Meany Middle School Jazz Band at 11 a.m. or the magic show to follow.

For more information about the event, please call the Community Center at 206-684-4753.
