I wanted to share with you some information about important public meetings this week on the Viaduct and plans for the central Waterfront.

Keeping Seattle Moving Reconnecting Seattle to the Waterfront

Now that we are halfway to funding the Alaskan Way Tunnel, it's time to start thinking about how we can keep Seattle moving during construction. It's a real balancing act, and we need your input.

At a series of meetings this week, the public is invited to learn about the construction and traffic options, and talk with state and city transportation officials about what they prefer.

By replacing the Viaduct with a tunnel, we also get the chance to transform our waterfront. The Central Waterfront Concept Plan is an exciting vision, and we look forward to sharing it with you. There will be presentations and/or information about tunnel construction and the waterfront plan at meetings, as well as city and state experts to answer your questions.

• Learn about construction of the tunnel from city and state experts;
• Give your ideas on how to keep traffic moving during construction;
• Comment on the City of Seattle's Central Waterfront Concept Plan.
