Carkeek Park is 80 years old, and you're invited to the celebration!
Join us from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2009 at the Carkeek
Park Environmental Learning Center, 950 NW Carkeek Park Road,
for a celebration of the park's 80th birthday.

Carkeek Pedestrian Bridge Closure
Starting Monday, June 8, 2009, 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Daily
Seattle Parks and Recreation and the Seattle Department of Transportation
are working together to upgrade the safety of the Carkeek Park
Pedestrian Bridge over the Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad
tracks on the west side of Carkeek Park. The bridge will open
to pedestrian traffic after 3 p.m. daily and will be open weekends.

Daily 6 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Environmental Learning Center Hours
Tuesday - Saturday 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Located in northwest Seattle, this popular park offers extraordinary
views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains.
Years of hard work by neighbors and volunteers have brought salmon
back to Pipers Creek in Carkeek Park.
About the Environmental Learning Center
The
Carkeek Park Environmental Learning Center (ELC) has been built using
sustainable practices to provide additional space for environmental
education and stewardship activities and to create additional community
gathering/meeting space.
