ABOUT THE COURTS:

The six unlighted tennis courts at Magnuson Park were constructed in the mid-1970s after the first transfer of lands from the former Naval Air Station Seattle.

The Sand Point Tennis Center

In 1999, the Magnuson Park Concept Plan defined the location and size of a new tennis facility at Warren G. Magnuson Park. As part of the City of Seattle's redevelopment of the Sand Point campus, this new facility will include 10 indoor and 4 outdoor courts, open for play during the winter and convertible to 6 indoor and 8 outdoor courts during less rainy months.
