HISTORY

Loyal Heights Playfield takes its name from the community, which was named by the realtor and developer Harry Whitney Treat to honor his daughter Loyal. The playfield was created in 1942 “for park and playground purposes”. (Excerpt from the files of Don Sherwood, 1916-1981, Park Historian.)
