Project Status

The Seattle Department of Transportation and its contractor, Mid Mountain Contractors, Inc., continue to make strong progress building the West Thomas Street Pedestrian and Bicycle Overpass.

LOCATION	West Queen Anne to Myrtle Edwards Park
BUDGET	The Parks and Green Spaces Levy allocates $1.5 million for the planning, design and construction of the Lake to Bay Loop (formerly Potlatch Trail).

Project Description

This project will construct Thomas Street Overpass between Myrtle Edwards Park and Queen Anne as first phase of bicycle/pedestrian connection from Myrtle Edwards Park to Lake Union.

Since 2007, Seattle Parks Foundation has been spearheading the movement to reconnect Lake Union to Elliot Bay along the Lake to Bay Loop. For the entire Lake to Bay Loop please visit: Lake2Bay.org
